And it’s not going to stop for like 24 hours, they say. People are all abuzz with predicted closings, and some real closings. Maybe this is just what I needed. A day at home to do nothing but get the Christmas tree decorated.

I’ve also decided that instead of hauling up box after box of decorations this year, I am going to purge quite a lot of them. Instead, I am going to buy a bunch of poinsettias, evergreens and fresh flowers place them strategically, yet liberally throughout the house and feel liberated from the boxes of decorations in the basement. I sort of hate to admit it, but I think the best part of my diabolical plan will be how easy it will be to clean it all up come January 1.
