Good bye hydrangeas.

Summer is almost over. Not only can I tell by the restlessness that has settled in around here, a sort of eagerness to get back on a schedule, but I can tell because my hydrangeas have all turned green outside. No more sweet white blossoms. They are all pale green and fragile.

This week is our last week at home before school starts. My first goes to all day kindergarten, every day. I’m very excited for him, but I’m gong to miss having his fun-loving little self around here.

It’s also time for me to kick back into high gear for the Christmas season at shoestringhome.com. The fall Caldrea fragrances have arrived and I am about to add some new fun gifts to the site this week. I did a “fall cleaning” of my inventory yesterday and found some goodies to auction off on ebay to clear them out. I’ll post again when I do that, so you can get out there and bid.

I’m sad about summer ending. I’m almost afraid of having to get my 5 year old out the door by 7:20 for school next week. It seems to have snuck up on me, this whole end of summer thing. Maybe it’s raw fear, not sadness I’m feeling. Either way, life around here is about to change dramatically in less than five days. I better buckle up.
